Michelle Moran:

Michelle Moran is a woman with a mission: to use fashion and retail to promote social change - especially women's health initiatives - not just on special occasions, but 52 weeks every year.

That mission began in 1996, when Michelle founded a small T-shirt company based on a big idea: that she would design, manufacture, and sell merchandise, while donating a portion of the proceeds of every item to nonprofits that supported charitable causes.

Under her Legends and Heroes banner, Michelle formed relationships with major professional athletes and entertainers, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to their foundations and charities through the sales of signature sportswear and activewear. Organizations receiving her support include N'SYNC's "Challenge For The Children", the Tiger Woods Foundation, the Magic Johnson Foundation, and Nelly's "4 Sho 4 Kids".

In 2001, Michelle launched the Pink Ribbon Collection, a line of comfort couture and accessories that contributes to the fight against breast cancer by providing access to mammograms for low-income women. Her most recent line, the Red Dress Collection, supports heart disease awareness and prevention.

Michelle combines a deep passion for her causes with an intimate understanding of the fashion and clothing industry. In the past six years, her merchandise generated millions in sales, with a portion of the sale of every item going to her nonprofit causes.

Born in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Michelle studied communications at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She lives in Sudbury, Massachusetts with her son.
